Some examples of the 'hands on' activities we encourage the children to do at Chapel Hay Playgroup.
Learning about other cultures - their food, festivals and way of life.

Planting seeds, seeing what they need to make them grow and observing the way in which they grow.
Making bread, cakes, biscuits, soup and fruit salads. Learning about measurements, how things change and following instructions.

Role play - imagining what it is like to be other people. Learning about numbers, signs, writing lists, making phone calls, booking holidays and much more.

Letter and number games - learning the alphabet and numbers in a way that stimulates and aids concentration.

Playing musical instruments and singing, something the children really enjoy.
