Quality pre-school education and experience
for children aged 2yrs 9mths - 5 yrs.
At Chapel Hay Playgroup, children learn
to integrate socially with other children and adults.
All children are are encouraged to
develop to their full potential in all areas, at their own rate, in an
environment that is designed to be stimulating and fun.
We feel that it is important to emphasise
practical learning through play, in order to build solid foundations for future
learning.
We are open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
9:15am - 12:15pm. When possible we run a pre-school session on Mondays
and Fridays, in a separate hall at the same time as the normal session.
The
playgroup charges a small fee for each session, currently £8.00, which
covers the hire of the hall, insurance and staff wages. Money for the
renewal and updating of equipment and resources is usually obtained
through fundraising. Under the Nursery Education Grant Scheme, all
children are entitled to 5 free sessions a week (up to 15 hours) the
term after their 3rd birthday.
Chapel Hay Playgroup is inspected
annually as a registered provider of session day care for children and
is a member of PATA (the Playgroup and Toddler Association). Chapel Hay
Playgroup is registered to receive Nursery Education Grant Funding.
